Moldava nad Bodvou

A man is making wood with an axe at the Roma settlement located in "Budulovskej Street" in Moldava nad Bodvou, Eastern Slovakia about 30 km from Kosice. "Budulovskej Street" is a segregated Roma settlement which is located about 2 km behind the Slovak village of Moldava nad Bodvou. The settlement has three types of housing: a block of small houses with running water and electricity that was built by an NGO, two three-story apartment buildings, and what residents call “The Barracks,” which are rows of makeshift shacks that lack running water and electricity.
