Constance former Dominican monastery

After a few weeks being in Constance the opponents of Jan Hus succeeded in imprisoning him, on the strength of a rumor that he intended to flee. He was first brought into the residence of a canon and then, on 8 December 1414, into the dungeon of the Dominican monastery. The Dominican monastry is now the Steigenberger Hotel.
